Ian began his career as a visual artist, honing his still photography talents under L.A’s underground greats, Kathy Sullivan and Harry Drinkwater. Ian was a member of the Los Angeles Art Association for many years and presented multiple shows where he transformed his still photography into mixed media works of art.
It was a natural progression to moving images.
Melding the amazing lighting and camera movement of his mentors, Ian has created his own unique vision, bringing his voice to the forefront of the camera in order to help tell your story visually.
Ian is known for the caliber of his professionalism, his strong work ethic, and the ability to create relationships with people from varied backgrounds. Ian has learned the valuable skill of honoring multiple viewpoints, this value greatly contributes to the sense of community, integral to all high-functioning shoots.
Ian has lensed up commercials, documentaries, and numerous short films.
